Adult Summer Reading Program

Water Your Mind, READ

Sign-up begins July 6 at the main desk. Read 5 books (or audiobooks) between July 6 and August 13. Be entered in the weekly drawings for book bags. Finish the program and receive a gift card. New Policies

Daily Fines

In an effort to cut down on lost materials and the incumbent cost of replacing them, the Board of Trustees is instituting a daily fine of 50 cents for videos and 10 cents for all other items beginning January 2, 2009. The circulation period will remain 1 week for videos and magazines, and increase to 3 weeks for other items. Materials may be renewed in person, by phone, and online.

Photo Release

The Booth & Dimock Memorial Library reserves the right to photograph and videotape program participants. These photos and videos may be used for Library publications and publicity, including web page and local access cable. Notify Library staff if you do not wish to be photographed.

Social Software

Social Software is defined as any web application, site or account created and maintained by Booth & Dimock Memorial Library which facilitates an environment for library staff and library users to share opinions and information about library related subjects/issues. The Library recognizes and respects differences in opinion. Comments, posts and messages are welcome and will be reviewed before publishing. However the Library will not be responsible or liable for content posted by any subscriber in any forum, message board, or other area within the service.

By posting content, the user agrees to indemnify the Library and its Trustees and employees from and against all liabilities, judgments, damages, and costs (including attorney's fees) incurred by any of them which arise out of or are related to the posted content. Forums and messaging may not be used for commercial purposes or for organized political activity.

If any user does not agree to these terms, they are not to use the service as violation of the terms can lead to legal liability.
